The Mumbai Indians will be playing the IPL El Clásico tomorrow, as they will host the Chennai Super Kings in their home ground, Wankhede Stadium. Before that, the last night's centurion Tilak Varma shared his view on the captaincy difference between Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya.

Tilak Varma has been an essential part of the Indian national side playing the T20Is. Suryakaumar Yadav leads the T20I side. Meanwhile, in the Mumbai Indians, it is Hardik Pandya who is the captain.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference, Varma claimed that Suryakumar Yadav is very tactical with his approach. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya is emotional- trying to boost his player's confidence supporting the. Speaking to the media, Tilak siad,

“To be honest, Surya bhai was a bit on the tactical side. Hardik bhai, he always backs the players and himself. If you see the last game, he was saying, ‘Tu karega, tu karke dikhayega’. He keeps motivating players with his energy. That’s his type of captaincy – that energy you can feel. Surya is more into the tactical side. Both are good in their aspects. I enjoyed playing under Surya bhai’s captaincy, and I am enjoying under Hardik bhai’s captaincy as well."

The Mumbai Indians have managed to get their second win in the tournament, thanks to Tilak Varma's century. However, Suryakumar Kumar's form is still a concern. Tilak addressed that, saying that SKY is batting well in the nets. Tilak said,

“I would not say Surya bhai is out of form. He is batting well. Whatever shots he is hitting in the match, they are coming right from the middle of the bat. It doesn’t look like he is not in touch. Batting is going well. Sometimes you get a good ball. Sometimes the situation is such that you have to take chances. Like against RCB, he was trying the sweep against Krunal Pandya – that is his shot. Sometimes it happens. That’s the game."

He further added,

“It’s just a matter of one innings. If that innings comes, he will be back in touch. The same thing happened in the World Cup. First match against the USA – that was a very crucial innings. If it doesn’t go well in the first match of the World Cup, the team’s morale is a bit low. But he did it there. It’s just one innings, and he will be back."
