Big relief for Indian travelers
New Delhi: France has given good news for Indians. France has changed the visa rules for India, due to which Indian citizens will no longer need an airport transit visa. India has strongly welcomed this rule of France. France said that this facility has come into effect from April 10, 2026. Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has also given information about this.
“With effect from April 10, 2026, Indian nationals holding ordinary passports will not require ‘Airport Transit Visa’ while transiting through the international area of airports located on French territory,” the embassy said. This rule applies to passengers who remain in the international area during a layover at a French airport while traveling to a third country.
