Anurag Basu and Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming film is set to hit the big screens later this year.

The 55-year-old filmmaker, who garnered recognition for his various acclaimed projects, clarified that the release date of the romantic musical has not been pushed further.

According to Hindustan TimesBasu said, “We are very much on schedule and the shoot is progressing well. It’s a film we believe in deeply, and we are bringing it to audiences this year as intended.”

It is pertinent to mention that the makers shifted the release date from Diwali 2025 as the filming was not completed.

Previously, in February, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 star shared that the film was expected to be released on Diwali 2025.

Taking to his Instagram, Aaryan, 35, offered a glimpse into his much-awaited first look.

According to the video, the Shehzada actor has opted for rugged hair and a heavy beard for the role.

In the post, he’s seen singing You are my life for a large number of audience.

The storyline also features a strong romantic bond between Aaryan and Sreeleela.

For the unversed, Basu’s highly anticipated film is expected to be released in October 2026.
