New Delhi: The political scene in Punjab just had a massive “Chak De! India” moment but there is no cinematic redemption in sight. We all remember that scene where Kabir Khan is called a “Gaddar” (traitor) and has his house defaced after a tough loss. Well, that’s exactly what’s happening in real life right now to Harbhajan Singh, but not because of the game, rather because of politics.
The ace cricketer and Rajya Sabha MP, along with six other big names, Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Pathak, Swati Maliwal, Harbhajan Singh, Rajinder Gupta, Ashok Mittal and Vikram Sahney, who just switched party from AAP to the BJP. This massive betrayal has left the party in a total mess, and the workers are absolutely fuming.
The reaction is no longer limited to social media as angry AAP supporters actually showed up at Harbhajan’s place and spray-painted “Gaddar” all over the walls. It’s pretty wild to see a guy who was once a national hero being treated like a villain. For these workers, this isn’t just politics, as they are considering it a personal backstab that’s triggered a huge crisis across the state.

Arvind Kejriwal‘s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) hit by a major blow as Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Pathak and Ashol Mittal joined hands with the BJP as National President Nitin Nabin welcomed them on Friday.
While addressing a press conference, Chadha shared that nearly two-thirds of AAP’s Rajya Sabha MPs are set to move with him. He shared the reason behind the action, accusing the Kejriwal-led party who came to power in Delhi, of making promises to fight corruption, but they have moved away from honest politics.
The 37-year-old has been associated with Kejriwal since the party’s early days, and as he joined the party, he soon emerged as a prominent face of AAP as its national spokesperson. The rift started between him and the party after Chadha’s removal from the position of Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha.
