The Royals managed to pile up a hefty total of 228 runs for the loss of six wickets in twenty overs, mainly owing to the outstanding knock of 103 runs from 37 deliveries by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and the reliable 51 runs by Dhruv Jurel. There were some noteworthy contributions from Donovan Ferreira in the innings, although dropped catches in the field came back to haunt them later on. In response, Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan put their team in contention with an extraordinary stand of 132 runs for the second wicket.
