New Delhi: IPL 2026 is just about halfway through, but the latest edition of the world’s most competitive T20 league has already seen more than two dozen 200-plus totals. But what happened at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday left cricket fans in a daze.

After KL Rahul scored a classy unbeaten 152 (67 balls, 16×4, 9×6) to guide Delhi Capitals to a massive 264/2 in 20 overs, red-hot Punjab Kings overhauled the target in an absolutely mind-boggling chase.

Prabhsimran Singh (76 off 26, 9×4, 5×6), Shreyas Iyer (71* off 36, 3×4, 7×6) and Priyansh Arya (43 off 17, 2×5, 5×6) blazed away from the first ball to gallop to 265/4 in just 18.5 overs!

It was the highest successful chase not just in IPL, but in all T20 cricket, surpassing their own record set two years ago.

Punjab Kings, in fact, have made a mockery of tough chases. Over the last few years, Punjab Kings have chased won 200-plus targets 10 times, also a record by any team.
