Teenage prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is making all the right noises with his audacious stroke-making in the Indian Premier League. At 15, the Rajasthan Royals opener is proving that his success at an early age is not a fluke.

The left-hander has been one of the star performers so far. He has amassed 357 runs at a staggering average of 44.63 and a strike rate of 234.86. His scintillating 103 off 37 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Jaipur once again displayed his audacity as he took on top bowlers with sheer confidence.

It is not the first time Sooryavanshi reached the three-figure mark quickly. Last year, he hammered a 35-ball ton against Gujarat Titans in only his third IPL match. This time, it took him just one extra ball to reach the milestone at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

Earlier this year, Sooryavanshi had already impressed on the world stage. He was instrumental in India's U-19 World Cup victory in Zimbabwe, scoring a breathtaking 175 in the final.

SRH chase down the huge total

Sooryavanshi's brilliant century guided Rajasthan Royals to a massive total of 228/6 after being invited to bat first. However, Sunrisers Hyderabad chased the target down with nine balls to spare.

Half centuries from Ishan Kishan (74 off 31 balls) and Abhishek Sharma (57 off 29 balls) were instrumental in SRH's victory. Abhishek Sharma also regained the Orange Cap.

Even though it was in a losing cause, Sooryavanshi's knock was exceptional. He is a talented player who will undoubtedly achieve great things in the future.
