She took to social media to express her concerns about the spread of false information without her consent and warned that she would take legal measures against those propagating unverified claims. Her statement emphasized that any misleading reports would be addressed through appropriate legal channels.

The complaint was filed by Y V Dharmendra, a London-based software engineer, who alleges he was in a long-term relationship with Ashu Reddy. According to his account, he first met her in Hyderabad in 2018, where she presented herself as a graduate from the United States pursuing a career in the Indian film industry. Their friendship reportedly evolved into a romantic relationship, during which Ashu Reddy allegedly promised marriage.

Dharmendra claims that when he sought to formalize their wedding, he was dismissed by her family. The complaint further alleges that after a prolonged engagement, she ultimately declined to proceed with the marriage. Additionally, it is claimed that Ashu Reddy’s sister received Rs 50 lakh during this timeframe.
