Sanju Samson achieved a massive milestone in Indian Premier League 2026 as he became 10th player in the history of IPL to score 5,000 runs. Samson achieved this landmark when he was playing for Chennai Super Kings against Gujarat Titans at MA Chidambaram stadium.

 

Samson touched 5,000 run milestone with his 3rd run of the match. Sanju Samson has had a distinguished IPL career as he has registered majority of his runs playing for Rajasthan Royals and then later he made a high profile move to CSK in 2026 mega trade.

Sanju Samson started his IPL career in 2013 and so far he has played 185 games for various franchises. Samson scored 5,000 runs in his 180th innings, which indicates his remarkable consistency over a span of years in the league.

 

He had started his IPL career with the Rajasthan Royals and played for them for 2 seasons and moved to Delhi Capitals from 2016-2017 after which he returned back to Rajasthan Royals before finally moving to the Chennai Super Kings ahead of 2026.
