
Lucknow, 26 April. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a tour of Uttar Pradesh on 28 and 29 April. In this sequence, PM Modi will reach his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Tuesday (April 28). During this time, he will gift about 160 projects to health, education and infrastructure to the people of Kashi. This information was given in an official statement on Sunday.
Will address more than 50 thousand women at Bareka Maidan
According to the statement, PM Modi will reach Varanasi airport between 4.30 to 5:00 pm on Tuesday evening. From the airport he will go straight to Bareka (BLW) ground, where he will address more than 50,000 women. Actually, this time the tour mainly focuses on women empowerment and ‘Nari Shakti Vandan’.
Will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 160 projects
From the platform of Bareka itself, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 160 projects worth more than ₹6,350 crore. These include the inauguration of 48 projects costing more than Rs 1,050 crore and the foundation stone of 112 projects worth Rs 5,300 crore.
Major infrastructure projects include widening of Varanasi-Azamgarh road, important rail over bridges at Kazjakpura and Kadipur and inauguration of 5.5 crore liter/day (MLD) capacity sewage treatment plant (STP) at Bhagwanpur.
According to officials, the Prime Minister will inaugurate various community-centric projects, including 30 rural drinking water schemes under the ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’, redevelopment of Chandravati Ghat, tourism development of Sarangnath Temple near Sarnath, and beautification and renovation works of Sant Ravidas Park, Nagwa.
In SSPG Hospital Will lay the foundation stone of 500 bed multi super-specialty block
In this sequence, to strengthen the infrastructure of governance and social welfare, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of a 500-bed multi super-specialty block in the SSPG hospital. He will also lay the foundation stone of integrated divisional office, Municipal Corporation office building and a government child shelter home and Juvenile Justice Board in Ramnagar. Apart from this, an amount of more than Rs 105 crore will also be transferred as bonus to the milk suppliers of Uttar Pradesh associated with Banas Dairy.
Lays foundation stone of a rail-cum-road bridge over river Ganga
According to the official statement, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Varanasi Junction-Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction third and fourth railway line project, which also includes construction of a rail-cum-road bridge over the river Ganga.
Will also flag off two new Amrit Bharat Express trains
According to officials, the Prime Minister will also flag off two new Amrit Bharat Express trains Banaras-Pune and Ayodhya-Mumbai. He said that these trains will provide affordable and modern travel options and will increase connectivity between Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
Will attend Baba Vishwanath’s court on Wednesday
After night rest at Bareka Guest House itself, the next day on Wednesday, between 7.00 am to 8.30 am, PM Modi will be present in the court of Baba Vishwanath and will perform the rituals. According to sources, a grand welcome and a small ‘road show’ is also proposed on the routes of Lahurabir, Maidagin and Godaulia while going from Bareka to Vishwanath temple.
SPG (SPG) and local police took charge
Meanwhile, SPG and local police have taken charge for security. Preparations are on to welcome the people by showering flowers on the roads leading to Bareka and the temple. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain on April 28, in view of which waterproof pandals and special arrangements have been made at Bareka Ground.
Will inaugurate Ganga Expressway in Hardoi after Varanasi tour
PM Modi will leave directly for Hardoi after the morning programs on Wednesday, where he will inaugurate the Ganga Expressway, which will mark an important milestone in the development of world-class infrastructure in the country.
The total cost of 594 km long Ganga Expressway is approximately Rs 36,230 crore.
According to officials, the Ganga Expressway is a 594-km-long, 6-lane (expandable to 8-lane), ‘access-controlled greenfield high-speed corridor’ built at a total cost of about Rs 36,230 crore.
Ganga Expressway passes through 12 districts
He said that this expressway passes through 12 districts – Meerut, Bulandshahr, Hapur, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh and Prayagraj, thereby connecting the western, central and eastern regions of Uttar Pradesh through a single uninterrupted ‘high-speed corridor’.
There will be a saving of 6 hours in travel time between Meerut and Prayagraj.
The project is expected to reduce the travel time between Meerut and Prayagraj from the current 10-12 hours to about six hours. Officials said that the Ganga Expressway is being seen as a major economic corridor, in which integrated manufacturing and logistics corridors will be developed on about 2,635 hectares of land in the 12 districts falling along its route.
