Life follows a cycle where individuals are born, live, grow, and eventually pass away. After death, a person's body shows no signs of life. However, the story we are about to share will leave you astonished, as it reveals an extraordinary phenomenon.
Sicily (Italy) is home to a girl who passed away 96 years ago, yet her body is preserved in a museum. This preservation was done because her eyelids still flutter, a fact that may seem unbelievable but is entirely true.
The girl in question is named Rosalia Lombardo, who lived in Palmero, near Sicily. She tragically died at the age of two due to pneumonia, and her body is preserved alongside 8,000 others.
Once, while her body was being moved, some staff members noticed that her eyelids were still blinking despite her being deceased. This news spread rapidly, making headlines and capturing public interest.
As word got out, crowds gathered to witness this phenomenon, and she was affectionately dubbed the 'Sleeping Beauty.'
Initially, people speculated that the blinking was an illusion caused by lighting. To clarify, her body was placed in a glass coffin, which made it evident that her eyelids were indeed fluttering even after death. This revelation attracted even more visitors, and she gradually became a global sensation.
