It is believed that doing so helps maintain positive energy within the home and strengthens one's financial position.

Mahant Kameshwaranand Vedantacharya of the Udaseen Ashram in Ballabhgarh, Faridabad, explains that a Money Plant should never be planted directly into the soil. It is considered far more auspicious to grow it in a glass bottle or container. The water for the Money Plant should be changed every Friday, as Friday is a day dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi. When changing the water, one or two spoonfuls of milk should be added to it. It is crucial to ensure that the quantity of milk remains very small, as adding too much milk can harm the plant. Furthermore, this ritual should be performed quietly and without mentioning it to anyone else. It is believed that by doing so, the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi remain intact, leading to an increase in wealth and abundance within the home.

**In Which Direction Should the Money Plant Be Placed?**
Mahant Kameshwaranand Vedantacharya advises that placing the Money Plant in the southeast direction of the house is considered the most auspicious. In Vastu Shastra, this direction is referred to as the *Agni Kona* (Fire Corner). A Money Plant placed in this direction is believed to attract positive energy. Conversely, one should strictly avoid placing it in the northeast direction—known as the *Ishan Kona*—as this area is traditionally designated for worship and prayer.

**Place the Money Plant in an Open and Clean Area**
Mahant Kameshwaranand Vedantacharya suggests avoiding the placement of a Money Plant in proximity to the kitchen. Instead, you may place it on the terrace, in the balcony, or in any other open and clean area of the house. Placing it in the correct direction, changing the water regularly, and performing this simple ritual involving milk are believed to significantly enhance the auspiciousness of the Money Plant. Mahant Kameshwaranand Vedantacharya affirms that if this ritual is performed with genuine faith and devotion, it ensures peace and happiness within the home, resolves financial difficulties, and ensures that the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi remain perpetually upon the family.
