There remains no doubt that R Madhavan is one of the finest actors of Bollywood. From romance to comedy, and drama to action, he has successfully charmed his way into the hearts of audiences, playing diverse roles. Madhavan’s latest release, Dhurandhar 2, led by Ranveer Singh, showcases the actor essaying the character of Ajay Sanyal, the sharp, calculating Director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB). But beyond films, Madhavan also has a deep interest in golf. Yes, you read that right. And his recent Instagram post proves it perfectly.

R Madhavan has re-shared a rather insightful video by Sheikh Al Mansoor Ali on his Instagram Stories, which puts golf in the spotlight. Dubbed as a gentleman’s game, the activity is mostly played by affluent families, especially top CEOs and billionaires. But it has a very interesting reason behind it, as revealed in the clip.

Golf and its connection to billionaires

According to Sheikh Al Mansoor Ali, in just four quiet hours on the golf course, everything about a man’s personality is revealed. You can see his tolerance for patience when the ball goes completely wrong, whether he cheats or stays honest under pressure, and whether he blames everyone else for missing the target or simply adjusts his strategy.

As per the Sheikh, wealthy people do not choose golf by accident. They play it to determine their character. Golf trains the exact mindset of wealth, one shot at a time, be it long-term thinking, emotional control, and silent dominance. It forces players to remain composed in a noise-free, no-rush ambiance, where power and focus play crucial roles.

While others tend to chase quick excitement, the truly elite, who play gold diligently, walk the course, build deep trust with associates and even rivals, sign million-dollar deals, and shape their legacy of fortune. For them, golf is not a game. It is a mirror of mastery, perfecting which makes you the master in the game of life.

R Madhavan’s love for golfing

Do you know that golf helped R Madhavan in acting, early in his career? Last year, the actor appeared in an interview with Gulf News, where he revealed how golf made it easier for him to shoot in the streets. Previously, it was challenging for Madhavan to shoot a film in public with crowds watching, laughing and passing remarks.

But when Madhavan started playing golf, he understood that it was the only game in the world where you are competing with yourself, not anybody else. ‘It is about internalising, slowing down, and hitting that one perfect shot,’ he said at that time. Madhavan added that golf was similar to filming, as an actor needs to focus and quieten the chaos outside, much like how a player should be calm before hitting the ball. So, he imbibed the quality during shoots as well.
