Ranveer Singh is currently in the news not just for the success of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, but also because of reports suggesting that he may have stepped away from another major project. According to recent rumours, Ranveer Singh has quit Pralay, the post-apocalyptic zombie thriller that was expected to be directed by Jai Mehta. While there has been no official confirmation yet, reports claim that the actor’s exit is linked to creative disagreements with the filmmaker.

Ranveer Singh Pralay Movie Exit Reportedly Linked To Creative Differences

A report shared by an X handle called ‘Always Bollywood’ claimed that the Ranveer Singh Pralay movie exit happened because of creative differences between the actor and director Jai Mehta. The film was reportedly scheduled to go on floors by mid-2026 and had already generated curiosity for its unusual concept.

The post claimed that the project has now hit a roadblock as both sides could not align creatively. This has led to strong speculation that Ranveer Singh quits zombie thriller Pralay before the project could officially move into production.

For Another Big Project?

Amid these reports, it is also being said that Ranveer is now looking at a large-scale Pan India action entertainer after the blockbuster response to Dhurandhar 2. Sources suggest that filmmaker Aditya Dhar has pitched a political action thriller to him, and the project has already caught his attention.

This has further strengthened reports that Ranveer Singh quits Pralay and may move ahead with Aditya Dhar’s film instead. If that happens, it would mark another major shift in the actor’s upcoming slate.

About
Pralay
And Jai Mehta’s Vision

Pralay was expected to be a post-apocalyptic zombie thriller set in a ruined version of Mumbai. The film planned to use AI-driven visuals to create a decayed and crumbling version of the city, making it one of the more unconventional Hindi films currently in development.

The project is being directed by Jai Mehta, son of filmmaker Hansal Mehta, and would mark his theatrical directorial debut. Jai is known for co-directing Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story and Lootere, both of which were praised for their grounded storytelling style.

The film is also backed by Hansal Mehta and Sameer Nair’s Applause Entertainment, which added even more interest around the project.

Ranveer Singh Creative Differences With Jai Mehta Amid Don 3 Exit

Interestingly, this comes at a time when Ranveer Singh has also been making headlines for stepping away from Don 3. His exit from the Farhan Akhtar film reportedly happened due to script disagreements and production delays.

There were also reports that Excel Entertainment was seeking Rs 40 crore in compensation over pre-production losses and scheduling changes. Farhan Akhtar later addressed the situation and said that the experience taught him to expect the unexpected and not take anything for granted until it is actually on film.

With both Don 3 and now Pralay making headlines, fans are closely watching what Ranveer chooses next after Dhurandhar’s massive success.
