Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has made a new record of claim settlement in the financial year 2025-26. During this period, a total of 8.31 crore claims were settled, which is much more than last year's 6.01 crore. Of these, 5.51 crore claims were for advance or partial withdrawal, which clearly shows that now people are able to easily withdraw their PF money at the time of need.

The special thing is that more than 71% of advance claims were processed through auto mode in just 3 days, due to which people had to visit offices less. EPFO has also provided many new facilities to simplify the processes.

People will get these facilities

  • 6.68 crore people claimed without uploading the cheque.
  • 1.59 crore members linked bank accounts without employer's approval
  • 70.55 lakh transfer claims settled in auto mode
  • 29.34 lakh people updated their profiles themselves
  • More than 61 lakh claims have been settled in April 2026 alone, out of which about 99% claims were settled within 20 days.
  • At the same time, EPFO is going to launch E-PRAAPTI portal soon.

Old accounts will be activated like this

This will be a digital platform, with the help of which people will be able to easily search, link and activate their old and inactive PF accounts. By logging in through Aadhaar, members will be able to link their old accounts with UAN. Initially this portal will work on the basis of member ID, but later those people who do not remember their old account number will also be added. Apart from this, EPFO also keeps making people aware by running different campaigns from time to time. So that there is no fraud of any kind with them. Now the EPFO portal has also been made easier than before so that people can settle their claims as soon as possible. To increase the facility of withdrawal of money, EPFO is also going to take the help of ATM. After which you will not have to visit the office to withdraw money from EPFO.
