How to make Dates Tamarind Chutney

Chutney prepared from dates and tamarind tastes very tasty. To prepare this, first put dates, tamarind and water in a pan and boil for 10-15 minutes. This will soften both the things well and the flavors will also mix well.

After boiling, let the mixture cool. Then put it in the mixer and make a smooth paste. If needed, you can add some more water.

Now filter this paste through a sieve so that there are no fibers or lumps left in it. This will make the texture of the chutney as smooth as the market.

Place the strained puree again on the gas and add jaggery, roasted cumin, black salt, dry ginger powder, red chilli and salt. Cook it on low flame for 5-7 minutes.

Cook the chutney until it becomes slightly thick. It will thicken further when it cools, so keep the time right to switch off the gas.
