According to fire officials, this gas has leaked from the warehouse of a closed water treatment plant in Gangadham area of ​​Kondhwa. At around 1 o’clock in the night, gas leaked from an old tank filled with chlorine. As soon as the gas spread in the area, people started having trouble breathing. There was a commotion in the area. People got scared and called the police and fire brigade and gave complete information.

After a lot of struggle the situation was brought under control

As soon as information about the leakage was received, the fire brigade and police personnel reached the spot with their team. The fire officer said that as soon as we arrived, we started relief work. With the help of safety equipment, our personnel closed the leaking tank and after some struggle brought the situation under control. The health of many people has also deteriorated. A total of 22 local residents and two fire employees had difficulty breathing, due to which all have been admitted to the hospital.

According to the information, the person who previously ran this plant had removed the plant but the chlorine tank remained there. The tank was not being maintained.
