Ryan Rickelton Century: In IPL 2026, South African batsman Ryan Rickelton created history by playing a brilliant innings against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He scored unbeaten 123 runs in 55 balls, which included 10 fours and 8 sixes. Rickelton completed his century in just 44 balls, which is the first century of his IPL career. On the basis of this explosive innings, Mumbai Indians took a strong hold in the match and scored a big score.
With his century, Rickelton took the record of scoring the fastest century for Mumbai Indians. He broke the 18-year-old record of Sri Lankan legend Sanath Jayasuriya, who had scored a century in 45 balls in 2008. Tilak Verma also scored a century in 45 balls in the same season, but Rickelton went ahead of him. Apart from this, he also made the record of highest individual score for Mumbai Indians and left behind Jayasuriya’s figure of 114 runs.
Rickelton made three important partnerships for the team during his innings. With Will Jacques, he added 93 runs for the first wicket and gave the team a fast start. After this, he made a partnership of 55 runs with Naman Dheer and 56 runs with captain Hardik Pandya. Thanks to these partnerships, Mumbai Indians scored a huge score of 243/5 in 20 overs. The team had scored 78 runs in the powerplay itself, which created pressure on the opposition team.
