Material



  • 500 grams amla

  • 3 tablespoons of mustard

  • 2 tablespoons fenugreek seeds

  • 2 tsp turmeric

  • 2 tbsp red chillies

  • 3 tbsp salt (to taste)

  • 1/2 cup oil (plain or refined)

  • 1 tsp asafoetida

  • First wash amla and steam it in cooker till 1 whistle.

  • After cooling, separate their pods and remove the seeds.

  • Roast fenugreek seeds and mustard seeds in a pan on low flame. After it cools down, spread it thickly.

  • In a large bowl add amla pods, turmeric, red chillies, salt and prepared masala and mix well.

  • Heat oil in a pan, add asafoetida and pour this hot oil over the amla mixture. Mix everything well and let it cool.

  • Keep the prepared pickle in a clean and dry jar.

  • After 2-3 days, the pickle is ready to eat when the masalas are well seasoned.
