Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are set to take on the Mumbai Indians (MI) in Match 44 of the Indian Premier League 2026 on May 2 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. This matchup marks the second time these fierce rivals will clash this season. In their last encounter at the Wankhede Stadium, CSK put on a spectacular show, defeating MI by a whopping 103 runs—a result that’s still fresh in the minds of both teams. As they head into this game, CSK will be looking to recreate that impressive performance.

In the ongoing IPL 2026, the venue has already hosted four matches, with teams regularly posting impressive totals, highlighting just how conducive the pitch has been for batting. Even in the one relatively low-scoring game between CSK and GT, the chasing team comfortably reached their target in under 17 overs, showcasing how true the surface has played.
