Weather Update: There has been relief from the heat after light rain but this relief will not last for long. You will have to face problems due to heat and heat wave in the month of May. A forecast has been issued by the India Meteorological Department in this regard. It has been warned that in many parts there will be more heat wave than normal. The effect of heat is likely to be severe especially in the Himalayan foothills, eastern coastal states, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures may remain above normal in many parts of the country, due to which people’s problems may increase. At the same time, the minimum temperatures in many areas of North-West India, parts of Central India, adjoining areas of Peninsular India and southern parts of Northeast India may remain normal or below normal. According to IMD, total rainfall across India in May is likely to be above normal. However, some areas of East India, Northeast and East-Central India may receive below normal rainfall.
Let us tell you that after the rain in many areas, people have definitely got relief but the sunshine on Friday has once again started troubling the people. Vidarbha, Telangana, Marathwada, some areas of western Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh recorded maximum temperatures between 38 to 40 degrees Celsius. Whereas in the rest of the country it remained between 34 to 38 degrees Celsius.
On the contrary, temperatures in eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Northeast India and Western Himalayan regions were recorded below 34 degrees Celsius, due to which there is relative relief there.
