Bhopal. After the tragic accident at Bargi Dam in Jabalpur, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav appeared to be in a mood to take strict action. He took immediate action against those who were negligent in this matter and terminated the services of many employees.

Strict action against cruise staff, services terminated

On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the services of cruise pilot Mahesh Patel, cruise helper Chhotalal Gond and ticket counter in-charge Brijendra were terminated with immediate effect. This step has been taken to fix responsibility in the accident.

Manager suspended, investigation on regional manager

Sunil Maravi, manager of Hotel Maikal Resort and Boat Club Bargi, has been suspended for negligence in work. At the same time, Regional Manager Sanjay Malhotra has been attached to the headquarters and orders have been given for a departmental inquiry against him.

Formation of high level inquiry committee

Considering the seriousness of this accident, the Chief Minister has decided to form a high level investigation committee. This committee will investigate on three main points-

• Investigation into the causes of the accident from the beginning
• Analysis of the circumstances at the time of the incident
• Whether security protocols were followed or not

Instructions for making SOP for boating and adventure activities

The Chief Minister said that to ensure that such incidents do not happen in future, strict SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) will be prepared for all activities like boat tourism, cruise tourism and adventure sports.

CM Mohan Yadav met the victims' families, expressed grief

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav met the families of the accident victims in Jabalpur and consoled them. He visited the homes of the families of deceased Neetu Soni and Riyaz Hussain and expressed his condolences.

9 died in the accident, 28 people were rescued

The Chief Minister informed that 9 people have died in this accident, while 28 people have been rescued safely. There is an atmosphere of mourning and shock in the entire state due to this incident.

Declaration of Compensation and Honors

The state government has announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the deceased. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also announced assistance of Rs 2 lakh each. Apart from this, it has been announced to give Rs 51,000 each to those who saved the lives of others.

Government's strict message: Negligence will not be tolerated

The Chief Minister made it clear that any kind of negligence will not be tolerated. The government is taking strict action in this matter, so that such incidents can be prevented in future.
