Five Bhayangkara FC players received suspensions of between one and three years: Fadly Alberto (three years), Aqilah Lissunah, Afrizah Riqh, Ahmad Catur (two years), and Mufdi Iskandar (one year), according to BolaSport.

Assistant coach Mukhlis Hadi Ning was banned from performing his duties for four matches.

Three Dewa United players were also suspended for one to two years: Reyvan Rezqi (2), Keysa Fawwaza and Muhammad Ridwan (1).

Fadly Alberto received the heaviest penalty after delivering a kung fu-style kick to the back of Rakha Nurkholis, sending the Dewa United player crashing heavily to the ground.

Ahmad Catur attacked a Dewa member despite the latter raising his hands in a plea, while Aqilah kicked a Dewa player in the abdomen.

The incident began after Dewa took a 2-1 lead late in the match. Bhayangkara FC members protested, claiming the goal was offside but still allowed by the referee. Tensions escalated further following a foul, leading to a clash involving players and officials from both sides.

Fadly’s violent act drew the strongest backlash after video footage circulated widely on social media platforms in Indonesia.

He had previously gained attention for scoring the decisive goal in a 2-1 win over Honduras in the final Group H match of the 2025 FIFA U17 World Cup, which was also Indonesia’s only victory in two appearances at the tournament. He had been called up to the national U20 team.

Following the incident, all players involved issued public apologies. The two teams also arranged for the players to meet for apologies and reconciliation. At the time, Fadly said he would accept any punishment from PSSI.

“Perhaps this is a disaster and a test for me, but I must continue striving with all my effort to pursue my dream of becoming a professional player,” said the forward, born in 2008.

Bhayangkara FC said it respects the decisions of the PSSI Disciplinary Committee but will file an appeal.

Head coach Yongki Pamungkas said the length of the bans should be reviewed more comprehensively and proportionately.

He emphasized that players from both sides share a close and respectful relationship, and that the incident was a momentary emotional outburst under pressure.
