Punjab Education Board: In a major relief to thousands of students in the state, the Punjab School Education Board (PESB) has started the online registration process to provide a special mercy chance to those students who could not clear their class 10th or 12th board examinations in the last 16 years. Eligible candidates can apply on PSEB website till May 25, 2026.


Board exams between 2010 to 2025


Sharing information in this regard, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that this step is dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji. This initiative aims to provide a new opportunity to complete their school education and build a career to those students who could not pass their class 10th or 12th board examinations between the years 2010 to 2025.


All opportunities to re-appear or compartmentalize…


Giving information about the eligibility criteria, Bains said that this special opportunity is being given to those candidates who had appeared for class 10th or 12th examination between March 2010 to March 2025 and whose all opportunities for re-appear or compartment have been exhausted, or who want to improve their academic performance. This also includes candidates who appeared for the examination between March 2010 and March 2026 and were unsuccessful, provided they have passed at least one main subject. This opportunity is also available for students of class 10th and 12th open school stream.


He informed that the online application form and detailed guidelines are available on the official website of PSEB www.pseb.ac.in.

Bains said that this special mercy chance will prove to be a golden opportunity for those students who want to complete their incomplete education and give a new direction to their future. He said that the state government is opening new avenues of hope for thousands of youth of Punjab.
