According to religious experts, Ekadashi Tithi will start at 12:57 pm on June 10 and end at 10:36 pm on June 11. Due to Udaya Tithi being on 11th June, the fast of Param Ekadashi will be observed on Thursday, 11th June. The correct time to break the fast will be from 05:23 am on 12th June till 08:10 am. Breaking the fast during this time would be considered best.


Importance of Param Ekadashi fast


Param Ekadashi means the best Ekadashi. The devotee who observes this fast as per the rules and regulations, poverty, financial constraints and destitution go away from his life. Also, the devotee who worships Lord Vishnu on this day is believed to get a place in Vaikuntha Dham after death. On the day of Param Ekadashi, all the devotees should take bath in the morning by mixing Ganga water in the bath water. After this, wear clean clothes and worship in the home temple. During the puja, offer flowers and fruits to Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi. Light a lamp in front of them and perform aarti after the puja.


What to do on festival days?


1. People who do not fast on the day of Ekadashi should also avoid eating rice.
2. On this fast day, one should avoid lying, getting angry and gossiping about others.
3. Do not consume meat and alcohol.
4. Devotees who have observed Ekadashi fast should not sleep during the day.
