How does ULPIN work?
- The main objective of ULPIN is to collect all the documents to land in digital form at one place.
- With this, it will become very easy to identify any land and prove it as genuine.
- Through this, people buying land, banks and government offices will be able to know the entire truth about the land sitting at home, due to which the risk of land misappropriation, fraud and mutual disputes will be eliminated.
- According to the government department, this number will be the most reliable and sure source of land information, due to which the general public will not have to visit government offices for land work.
How is ULPIN made?
- To create ULPIN, international standards ECCMA and OGC are used, which are followed worldwide.
- This 14 digit number is not given to any land randomly or arbitrarily, but is decided by measuring the exact location of that land, i.e. its Latitude and Longitude, through satellite.
- The geographical location or place of every land is completely different in the world, that is why this number of every land is also completely unique and is directly to its actual location.

- This number will help in keeping all the land records together and creating a big government ‘land bank’.
- This system will also be very helpful during natural disasters and emergencies like floods or earthquakes, because the government will have accurate digital data of every land.
