Chennai. Taking part in the Anti Drug Marathon, Tamil Nadu CM C. Joseph Vijay along with thousands of people ran a six kilometer long marathon in Chennai and ran with the people for about 30 minutes. On the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse, ‘Anti-drug awareness’ marathon was organized in Chennai.
During this, CM Vijay ran with the people after flagging off the event. Wearing sports clothes, he completed a 6 km run on Chennai’s Marina Beach. Vijay has become the first sitting Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu by covering such great distances with the common people for a social cause.
Oath administered against drugs
Chief Minister Vijay led thousands of participants, including ministers and volunteers, under the Start Run, Stop Drugs theme in Chennai. Before the start of the race, Vijay administered the anti-drug pledge, which was repeated by the thousands of participants present there.
BJP leader praised
BJP leader and former Governor Tamilisai Sundararajan praised CM Vijay. Apart from this, he said that when leaders walk, run and stand together with the public, then awareness reaches every home.
