New Delhi: Mother of Raja Raghuvanshi, the man who was killed by his wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi during their honeymoon to Meghalaya, has said that the death of Pune-based businessman, Ketan Agarwal is similar to that of her son. She described the accused, Siya Goyal as the “younger version” of her daughter-in-law Sonam.

Sonam Raghuvanshi is currently out on conditional bail.

Talking about the murder of Ketan Agarwal Raja Raghuvanshi’s mother, Uma Raghvanshi said that she can understand the pain of his mother. She said, “”I can understand the pain of that mother as I have still not been able to recover from the pain of losing my son.”

She also described Ketan’s case as very similar to that of Raja. She said just like Sonam had planned the murder of her husband, Raja, Siya too conspired and hatched a conspiracy to eliminate her fiancé, Ketan. She then pushed him off the cliff in Lohagad Fort.

Meanwhile, Sonam Raghuvanshi is currently out on bail. Raja’s mother also commented on this development. She said that bail to Sonam was sending a wrong message to the society. She said, “Her bail is sending a wrong message to the society. The accused may think that they, too, will easily come out of prison after committing such heinous crimes.”

She also had an appeal to the girls. She said that if they didn’t want to get married then they shouldn’t, but they should not kill someone’s son. She asked them to speak to their own parents regarding the matter and convince them to not get married. She said, “They do not have the right to murder anyone.”

Referring to Sonam’s bail, Uma Raghuvanshi said that people accused of such crimes are “neither being hanged, nor punished.” She demanded that anyone involved in such serious crimes should be punished without delay.

Uma further said that Sonam’s bail might have sent out a message to Siya and others like her that if she can get bail, they also can kill someone and go scot free. She said, “Siya became choti Sonam.”

She appealed to the Agarwal family to keep fighting to get justice for their son Ketan. She said, “All of them, Siya, Sonam and Muskan should be hanged.”

Siya Goyal is accused of killing her fiancé, Ketan Agarwal, Police said that she along with her lover Chetan Chaudhary pushed him from a cliff at Lohagad Fort. The murder happened on June 18. The woman and her lover are in police custody and are being questioned. Their custody is set top end on June 29.
