A tragic building collapse in Raichur claimed the lives of three students after the roof of a building near the VRL office, close to the bus stand, caved in on Sunday. Two students died at the scene, while another succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS). The incident has left the local community and the victims' families in deep shock, with police launching an investigation into the collapse.

The students who died at the scene were identified as Nagaraj Kyadiggera (21) and Ravi Kumar Samudra (22). Three others, Arjun Kothigudda, Prabhu Matpalli and Umesh H.N. Tanda, sustained injuries and were rushed to RIMS for treatment.
Despite the efforts of doctors, Arjun Kothigudda later succumbed to his injuries, taking the death toll to three.
In a tragic coincidence, one of the deceased students, Nagaraj Kyadiggera, had previously made a short film titled Antyavaytu, which translates to It's the End.
According to reports, the students had gone to Sri Guru Photo Studio, located on the upper floor of the building, for some work. The studio was reportedly closed on Sunday. The roof is said to have collapsed while the students were waiting outside and trying to contact someone by phone.
Local MLA Karemma G Nayak visited the site and expressed condolences to the bereaved families.
The Devadurga Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
The deaths have left the victims' families devastated, with scenes of grief witnessed at both the accident site and the hospital.
