Under a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), the Election Commission of India (ECI) has launched a facility to deliver smart PVC voter ID cards to voters' homes within 15 days of changes to the voter list, new registrations, or corrections. Previously, this process took over a month, but now, the entire tracking process has been digitized and made real-time via the ECINet platform. This initiative aims to spare the general public from making repeated visits to government offices and to simplify the entire process.

**Online process to obtain a Voter ID within 15 days**

Follow these steps to get a new voter ID card made or to make corrections to an existing one:

Visit the official 'Voters' Services Portal' or download the 'Voter Helpline App' on your mobile.

Sign up or log in to the portal using your mobile number and OTP.

Select 'Form 6' for new voter registration (for individuals aged 18 or older).

Select 'Form 8' to make corrections to an existing card or to change your address.

Enter your name, address, and date of birth.

Upload a passport-sized photograph and documents such as proof of age (e.g., PAN card, Aadhaar) and proof of residence.

Verify the form using your Aadhaar OTP and submit it finally.

SMS Notification: You will receive updates via SMS regarding the acceptance of your application and every stage of the card printing process.

Delivery via Speed ​​Post: Once the card is generated by the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), it is sent directly to your home via India Post.
