It’s also seen that the company has written in the teaser, “This is the biggest bang of the season. And it will surprise you. New Brezza, bookings open.” However, the company has not yet shared complete details of the SUV’s design and features.
Major changes may be seen in the turbo engine and CNG models.
The new Brezza is considered to be the first major update to the second-generation model that arrived in 2022. Media reports and spy shots suggest that the SUV could see several significant changes this time around. The biggest update is expected to be the 1.0-liter Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine, which is already available in the Fronx. This engine produces around 100 PS of power and 147.6 Nm of torque. It is expected to be paired with a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The existing 1.5-liter K15C Smart Hybrid petrol engine is also expected to remain in the lineup. The CNG variant is expected to feature an underbody-mounted CNG cylinder to save boot space, providing more luggage space.
Interior and features will be more premium than before
The exterior of the new Brezza is expected to feature updated front and rear bumpers, new LED lighting, and new alloy wheels. The cabin is expected to feature new upholstery and improved trim finishes, along with several premium features. Possible features could include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat, ambient lighting, and several new comfort features.
Pricing may remain competitive
Despite the turbocharged engine, the new Brezza is expected to be priced competitively. This is believed to be due to the lower GST slab applicable to the 1.0-liter engine. All variants, features, and pricing will be revealed upon launch on July 24th. It will compete with the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV3XO, and other compact SUVs in the market.
