Eating healthy does not always mean settling for a boring salad. Fitness coach Nidhi Gupta has shared a high-protein Corn Paneer Chaat that brings together sweet corn, paneer, crunchy makhana, peanuts, fresh vegetables and tangy chutneys in one bowl.
Gupta shared the recipe on Instagram, presenting it as a protein-packed meal that does not rely on eggs or meat. One serving comes to approximately 330 to 350 calories, with around 24 to 26 grams of protein, 28 grams of carbohydrates, 6 to 7 grams of fiber and 13 to 15 grams of fat.
That makes it an interesting option for people looking for a filling, nutritious meal while keeping an eye on their calorie intake.
The special part is the combination of ingredients. Corn provides carbohydrates and natural sweetness. Low-fat paneer is the main protein source. Cucumber and onion add freshness and crunch, while makhana and peanuts bring another layer of texture.
Then come the spices and chutneys. Roasted cumin, chaat masala, black pepper, lemon juice, mint chutney and a little imli chutney turn the bowl from a basic protein meal into something that actually tastes like chaat.
And that is perhaps what makes the recipe work so well for summer. It is light, fresh and packed with ingredients that can be eaten chilled or at room temperature. There is also no elaborate cooking involved.
Ingredients:
For seasoning, add 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder, 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder if you like some heat, 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper and 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
For the final chaat-style touch, use 1 tablespoon green mint chutney and 1 teaspoon imli chutney, according to taste.
Method:
A bowl of chaat naturally feels more appealing in hot weather than a heavy cooked meal.
