Tezzbuzz Desk- As soon as the rainy season arrives, the snacks, biscuits and other crunchy things kept in the house start becoming soft quickly. Many times, soon after opening the entire packet of namkeen, its taste and crunch is no longer the same as before. In such a situation, most people consider it bad and throw it away. But if the namkeen does not have bad odor or signs of mold, then its crispness can be brought back to a great extent by some simple methods.

Humidity in the air increases during the rainy season. The starch and other dry substances present in the namkeen absorb the moisture from the environment, due to which its crispy texture gradually starts losing. Apart from this, opening the packet or box repeatedly also allows moist air to enter inside. If the namkeen is kept in an open packet or the lid of the container is not closed properly, it may seal more quickly.

Bring back the crunch with the air fryer

Air fryer can be used to make seared namkeen crispy again. Heat the namkeen in the air fryer at low temperature for some time. Avoid heating it too much, otherwise the salt may burn or its taste may change. After heating, take out the namkeen in a plate and let it cool completely. Only after this keep it in an airtight container.

Can also be heated in the oven

If you do not have an air fryer, an oven can be used. Spread the namkeen in an even layer on the baking tray and heat for a while on low temperature. Take care not to heat it more than necessary. After removing from the oven, let the namkeen cool completely at room temperature and then store it in a box.

Fry in pan without oil

If you don't have an oven or air fryer, a dry pan can also be used. Lightly heat the pan on low flame and add salt into it. Heat it lightly while stirring continuously for a few minutes. in this process no need to add oil. After the salty is heated, take it out in a plate and cool it. Fill it in an airtight container only when it cools down.

Do not turn off hot brine immediately

It is not right to immediately seal the namkeen in a container after reheating it. The steam from the hot brine can create moisture inside the container, causing the brine to become soft again. Therefore, after heating, keep the namkeen open for some time and cool it completely. Only after this store it in an airtight container.

Airtight container is necessary during rains

It is better to keep the namkeen in a good quality airtight container rather than keeping it in an open packet. Close the lid of the container tightly every time after taking out the brine. Avoid keeping the container near gas, sink, window or any place where there is excess steam and moisture. Dry and normal temperature place is better to store salty.

Do not open the entire box again and again

By repeatedly opening the box, moisture keeps reaching inside. It would be better to remove only as much salty food as you want to eat at one go and stop the rest immediately. if in brine Strange odor, mold, unusual change in color, or bad taste If seen, it is better to throw it away instead of reheating it and eating it. In this way, by taking a little care and storing it properly during the rainy season, the namkeen can be kept crisp for a long time.
