According to family members, the boy’s name is Anuj Chaudhary. He is a resident of Baramai Kheda village of Hathras. The family members are sitting on strike outside the ashram since 11 am. These include Anuj’s father Rajveer Singh, mother, grandmother, four sisters, uncle and other people of the village. The family clearly said that until Anuj is found, they will not move out of the ashram.
Father Rajveer Singh told that Anuj’s maternal home is in Panigaon near Vrindavan. While living there, he started going to Kelly Kunj Ashram for the darshan of Sant Premanand Maharaj. After some time he decided to take initiation. About three months ago, after convincing his mother, he took initiation. After initiation he stayed at home for five days. Then he said that he was going to see Maharaj ji. He came out with a necklace and three books. After this, three months passed, but neither saw his face nor talked to him. Rajveer said that Anuj is his only son among four daughters. He was studying and was in intermediate this year.

Anuj’s grandmother Munni told that on 25th, three months had been completed since initiation. He came home after initiation. Then he said that he was going to see Premanand Maharaj and went to the ashram. No news was received since then. He alleged that the family reached the ashram to get information, but the people there did not listen and pushed them out. The demand to show the camera recording was also not fulfilled. The only thing that was said from the Ashram was that Anuj is in meditation and will return.
Vrindavan police reached Vrindavan on information about protest outside the ashram. CO Sandeep Singh and Kotwali in-charge Ashwani Kumar talked to the family members. The police team went inside the ashram. A seeker of the ashram came out and said that Anuj’s photo has been sent to the group of sevadars. Information was also collected during Guru Purnima, but nothing was found. The ashram management is ready to help. The family was not satisfied with this answer.
CO Vrindavan Sandeep Singh said that a case has been registered in Sadabad regarding Anuj’s disappearance. Records to initiation in the ashram are being checked. Police is investigating. The family’s last conversation with Anuj was on the phone on the morning of the 3rd. After this no contact could be made. The family demands that their child be returned.
