The Embassy of India in Italy has advised Indian nationals across the country to exercise caution, avoid crowded areas and locations where protests are taking place, and follow local news after demonstrations were held in several Italian cities last week.
In an advisory posted on X on Monday, the embassy urged Indian nationals to remain vigilant and provided emergency contact numbers for the Embassy of India in Rome and the Consulate General of India in Milan.
Indian nationals can contact the Embassy of India in Rome at +39 331 614 2085 or the Consulate General of India in Milan at +39 388 164 7527 in case of an emergency.

The advisory came amid reports of violence during demonstrations in parts of Italy.
Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Sunday expressed solidarity with law enforcement personnel who faced aggression from groups she accused of exploiting public gatherings to provoke confrontations and create disorder.
Meloni also acknowledged those who had exercised their democratic right to protest peacefully, while calling on political opponents to unequivocally condemn violence.
She said disturbances in Milan left police officers injured after projectiles were thrown at security personnel. In Turin, authorities intercepted individuals carrying paving stones and tools capable of breaking glass, while unrest in Bologna prompted the preventive closure of the city's central railway hub.
“Demonstrating is a right. Setting our cities ablaze is not,” Meloni said, in an ANI report, urging all political parties to call for peaceful demonstrations.
