Rudraprayag: Chief Secretary Uttarakhand Radha Raturi reached Shri Kedarnath Dham on Thursday and took stock of the reconstruction and development works. During this, while increasing the pace of various construction and reconstruction works, he gave instructions to complete all the mandatory works before the opening of the doors of Shri Kedarnath Dham on May 10.


Giving instructions to use additional labor and resources for this, he said that special care should be taken to ensure that the devotees do not face any kind of problem. On one-day Kedarnath tour, Chief Secretary Uttarakhand, Tourism Department, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of Uttarakhand Government Bhaskar Khulbe, DGP Abhinav Kumar, Tourism Secretary Sachin Kurve reached Kedarnath helipad by helicopter at around 07:45.


He took information from the District Magistrate and PWD officials about the ongoing reconstruction and development works. After which, taking stock of Mandakini-Saraswati Ghat, Guest House, Hospital, Astha Path, Kedarnath Temple complex and other under construction works, instructions were given to complete all the works before the fixed deadline.


While giving instructions to the concerned departments to employ additional labor on other essential works including Aastha Path and Water ATM, instructions were given to complete all the work before the commencement of the Yatra, so that the devotees do not face any problem. Along with this, the District Magistrate was instructed to speed up the construction work by using more resources and rapidly complete the work of the corridor from Gol Chabutra to the temple complex. He also instructed all the officers and related agencies to take full care of the quality of the materials being used in construction works.


Apart from this, he was also asked to take every possible effort to take care of the facilities of the devotees and make the journey smooth and organized. At around 10:30 the Chief Secretary left for Badrinath from the helipad. During this, Chief Secretary Bhaskar Khulbe, DGP Abhinav Kumar and District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar met the local businessmen and heard their problems. While talking to the traders, the officials assured them of appropriate action.


DGP Abhinav Kumar, while inspecting the building and arrangements being prepared for the police department in Kedarnath, instructed the concerned institutions to complete all the work on time while keeping in mind the quality of the construction work. On this occasion, Superintendent Engineer 8th Circle PWD Tehri Mukesh Parmar, DDMA Vinay Jhinquan, Assistant Engineer PWD Rajvindra Singh, Manish, Ajay Thapliyal and other officers and employees were present.
