Ranchi: The assistant policemen, who have been sitting on an indefinite strike at Morhabadi Ground in Ranchi for the last 18 days, have received an offer for talks before surrounding the CM's residence. Jharkhand Police DGP Ajay Kumar, ADG Headquarters RK Malik, Ranchi Deputy Commissioner and other senior officials have concluded talks with the delegation of assistant policemen but no result has come out of it.

The assistant policemen have been on strike for the last 18 days for their adjustment and many other demands. JBKSS has also supported the CM residence siege on Friday. Before the CM residence siege, the government called for talks but no consensus could be reached on ending the agitation. The assistant policemen are still stationed at Morhabadi ground. The administration has also made full preparations to ensure that the assistant policemen are not able to reach the CM residence in any way. Section 144 has been imposed around the CM residence.
