Delhi: The Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog will be held today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting will be held at the Cultural Center of Rashtrapati Bhavan, the theme of which is Developed India 2047. The parties of India Alliance have boycotted this meeting. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren will also not attend this meeting. Although Mamta Banerjee will attend this meeting, she has made a big demand before the meeting. Mamta has raised questions about NITI Aayog, she has said that it should be closed and Planning Commission should be brought back.


Opposition parties have boycotted this meeting alleging discrimination. Jharkhand Chief Minister will not attend this meeting but Chief Secretary L Khiangte will. Jharkhand government will reiterate its demand of about Rs 1.32 crore dues from mining companies in this meeting. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister AK Stalin, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy will not attend this meeting.


During the meeting, a report will be submitted to the NITI Aayog by the state government. Along with this report, the plan run in collaboration between the central and state governments will be discussed. In the meeting, topics like 30 trillion dollar economy by 2047, the role of states in developed nations, drinking water-electricity, health, school education, roadmap for the development of the country and states, cooperation between the central and state governments and digitalization will be discussed.
