An officer said that the police had received information that a casino was running on the first floor of the hotel. When the police reached the spot, they found girls dancing obscenely in the casino. When Meerut SSP Vipin Tada got information about this, he immediately formed a team of two other circle officers including a woman circle officer and ordered action. More than 30 people were arrested from the spot, but some people were released on bail in the night itself. The police is also examining the CCTV footage of the hotel.

A police officer said that this action has been taken at 'Harmony Inn' hotel in the city. Hotel owner Naveen Arora and his partner Amit Chandan have been arrested. Naveen Arora is also associated with Bharatiya Janata Party. He has also previously been the Metropolitan Treasurer of BJP. People came to the casino to gamble.
