  • Ragi flour – 1 cup

  • Ghee – 2 tbsp

  • Jaggery – 1/2 cup (grated)

  • Milk – 2 cups

  • Cocoa powder – 1 tablespoon

  • Cashews and almonds (chopped) – for garnish



Heat ghee in a pan, add ragi flour and fry on low flame until the aroma comes out. Now add milk slowly and keep stirring the mixture, so that lumps do not form. After this add jaggery and cocoa powder and cook well. When the halwa thickens, garnish with chopped nuts and serve hot.

  • Ragi flour – 1 cup

  • Rice flour – 1/4 cup

  • Finely chopped onion – 1

  • Finely chopped tomato – 1

  • Salt – as per taste

  • Water – to make batter

  • Oil – for frying cheela



Mix ragi flour, rice flour, onion, tomato, green chilli and salt in a vessel. Prepare thin batter by adding water. Heat a pan and apply oil. Pour the prepared batter on the pan and spread it in a round shape. Fry until light golden on both sides. Now serve it with green chutney or tomato chutney.

Wheat flour – 1/2 cup
Jaggery powder – 1/2 cup
Butter – 1/4 cup (softened)
Baking powder – 1/2 tsp

Mix ragi flour, wheat flour, jaggery powder, baking powder and cardamom powder in a bowl. Add soft butter and knead it like dough. Shape the mixture into cookies and place on a baking tray. Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes. Once cooled, store the cookies in an airtight container.
