February 5, Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s Bollywood debut in “Loveyapa” is quickly approaching, and on February 4, a star-studded private screening was staged in Mumbai before the film’s official release.
Bollywood icons Rekha and Dharmendra were among the well-known people in attendance; their reunion drew both fans and guests’ attention.
Many famous people attended the screening, but what really stole the show was Rekha’s classic style and her and Dharmendra’s close friendship.
Rekha, who looked elegant in a gorgeous gold and white silk saree, looked striking in her trademark red sindoor. She smiled elegantly for the cameras and had lighthearted chats with Dharmendra and Aamir Khan outside the event as the paparazzi took pictures of her.
As they had a happy time together, Rekha and Dharmendra’s relationship—which they had developed over decades of working together on screen—was clearly visible.
Over the years, the two have appeared in several classic movies, such as “Ram Balram,” “Kartavya,” “Kahani,” “Kasam Suhag Ki,” and many more.
The classic song “Rafta Rafta Dekho Aankh Meri Ladi Hai” from their movie “Kahani Qismat Ki,” which is still beloved by fans, is still one of their most memorable duets.
Political leader Raj Thackeray and cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, who came with his wife Anjali Tendulkar, were among the other notable attendees.
Bollywood’s most adored pair, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, also made a stunning arrival to the event that evening, walking hand in hand.
‘Loveyapa’ is a love drama that stars Junaid alongside Khushi Kapoor, the younger daughter of producer Boney Kapoor and the late Sridevi.
Currently promoting the movie, Khushi and Junaid recently spoke about their collaboration in an interview.
“Khushi Ji has complained to me about something. For example, I also work as a professional actress. She constantly arrives 30 minutes ahead of schedule, even though I used to be on time. It’s very frustrating. She arrives at the set at 5:30 AM if the call time is 6:00 AM. I’m usually on time, but she’s always early,” Junaid Khan said.
Khushi responded by explaining why she arrived to the set early.”Even if I am just five seconds late, I am nervous. I constantly get messages from my makeup artist and hairdresser telling me not to arrive before them. I’ve had that tendency since I was a little kid. I’m usually early. The generators sometimes start after I get to the set.
Advait Chandan is the director of “Loveyapa,” which opens in theaters on February 7.
