[United States], February 5: ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ new poster was made without the aid of artificial intelligence (AI), according to a statement released by Marvel Studios.

Released with the first trailer for the movie, the poster immediately went viral on social media, with some people assuming that AI had been used because of several design flaws.

The eye-catching image shows a multitude of men and women from the 20th century standing and waving at the Fantastic Four as they seem to lift off on a heroic quest.

Some admirers pointed out odd aspects, while many others welcomed the look. Due to these differences, there was a lot of conjecture that the design was the result of AI technology.

One commenter on social media said, “This must be artificial intelligence, correct? Or am I alone in thinking this?

“Seems to have been created by artificial intelligence.”

“Every poster now is with AI,” a third person said.

A Marvel representative swiftly refuted these rumors, telling The Hollywood Reporter that the company did not employ artificial intelligence to create the billboard.

“The image was crafted through traditional methods,” the spokesman said.

This conjecture about the poster for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” comes after a similar dispute around the movie “The Brutalist.”

Some questioned the genuineness of the performances in the Oscar-nominated film when rumors surfaced that artificial intelligence (AI) had been employed to improve the language.

Director Brady Corbet at the time gave a clear response, claiming that no artificial intelligence had been utilized to change the performers’ voices, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

He clarified that in order to assure authenticity, only slight alterations were made to the Hungarian parts utilizing Respeecher technology, after performers Adrian Brody and Felicity Jones spent months honing their accents with a dialect coach.

“The aim was to preserve the authenticity of Adrian and Felicity’s performances in another language, not to replace or alter them, and done with the utmost respect for the craft,” Corbet told The Hollywood Reporter.

Speaking of “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach play the main parts in this Matt Shakman-directed movie.

On July 25, the film will be released in theaters.
