In every new Pay Commission, the Dearness Allowance (DA) is reset at the beginning. Currently, DA is 53% in the 7th Pay Commission, but in the 8th Pay Commission it will be reset from zero and then gradually increased.

Currently, the minimum pension is ₹9,000 per month.
The maximum pension of government employees is fixed at 50% of the basic salary.
