M6 traffic LIVE: Major motorway grinds to a halt as 'serious collision' sparks closure Newspoint  |  2026-01-26T16:39:50+08:00

A collision described as serious by National Highways has prompted the closure of a stretch of the busy M6 on Monday morning. Following the incident, emergency services rushed to the scene. The M6 has been closed between J6 (Birmingham) and J7 (Great Barr) in the early hours of Monday, January 26.

The carriageway reopened, but the M6 northbound exit slip at junction J7 was still closed as of 7am.
