A UK accountancy firm led by a globally recognised managing director has collapsed into administration. Bells Accountants founder and MD, Joanne Bell, was named among the Top 50 Women in Finance globally.

She also won the Kent Best Woman in Business award and built Bells Accountants over 15 years into a four-practice operation employing more than 35 staff. According to her company profile, she grew the business through a mix of organic expansion and acquisitions and was widely respected for helping business owners make profitable decisions through her consultancy work.

Despite Joanne's accolades, Bells Enterprises Ltd, registered under company number 07579491 and trading from Chislehurst and Wallington, entered administration on 4 February 2026.

The move was confirmed in a notice published by The London Gazette on 10 February following a petition to wind up the company in January.

Nedim Ailyan and Glyn Mummery of FRP Advisory Trading Limited have been appointed as joint administrators.

They will oversee the firm's operations, liaise with creditors, and explore restructuring or sale options. Contact details for the administrators have been published for affected clients and staff.

Joanne's recognition in the Top 50 Women in Finance has made the collapse particularly striking for the UK accounting sector.

The administration leaves the firm's 35-plus employees and a wide range of business clients in uncertainty, with further updates expected once the administrators complete their review of Bells Accountants' financial position.
