Tamil actor Ajith Kumar, Telugu star Nandamuri Balakrishna, and Kannada actor Anant Nag have been honoured with the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award. Padma Bhushan is the third highest civilian honour after Bharat Ratna and Padma Vibhushan. Singer Arijit Singh has been honoured with Padma Shri.

The Padma Awards for 2025 were announced on January 25, just ahead of Republic Day. The Padma Awards, India's most prestigious civilian honors, are bestowed in three categories: Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri. This year's list features numerous prominent figures from various fields. 

The Padma Awards recognise excellence across multiple areas, including the arts, social service, public affairs, science and technology, commerce and industry, healthcare, literature and education, sports, and civil services. This year's annual honours' list comprises seven Padma Vibhushan, 19 Padma Bhushan and 113 Padma Shri award-winners.
