Cricket News Desk. younger brother Rawat (born 14 October 1999) is an Indian cricketer. He made his first class debut in the 2014 Ranji Trophy for Delhi on 7 October. He played his first Twenty-20 match for Delhi on 21 February 2019 in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2014.

Anuj Rawat is the first -style batsman and wicket -keeper of Indian cricket. He used to play for Jim Corbett National Park. He hails from Ramnagar, a town in Nainital district. He has performed in the first class in the Ranji Trophy on 6 October 2017 for Delhi. He played his first T20 match for Delhi on 21 February 2019 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2018, while his first list-cricket match was played for Delhi on 4 October 2019 in Vijay Hazare Trophy. In the IPL, Anuj was fed by Rajasthan Royals.

Anuj's cricket started from Nainital, a hilly place where there is a shortage of coaching facilities. But despite being in such a state, Anuj enrolled in a small coaching center near Ramnagar. Seeing Anuj's talent and skill, his coach advised his father to send Anuj to a big city like New Delhi. Then Rawat New Delhi started living with his uncle and after finishing his school education, he joined the West Delhi Cricket Academy run by former Indian captain Virat Kaholi.

Anuj performed in the first class for the Delhi team. His first match was for the Ranji Trophy on 6 October 2017. Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was his first debut in T20 which was held between 2018-19. His cricket career had started that he was selected in List-A to play Vijay Hazare Trophy on 4 October 2019 and was selected to play for Rajasthan Royals in the 2020 IPL tournament.

IPL career

Anuj Rawat started the IPL in 2020 in the IPL 2022 auction from Rajasthan Royals, RCB bought Anuj Rawat for Rs 3.40 crore. Anuj's base price was Rs 20 lakh and Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans also bid to buy them. In the 18th match of IPL 2022, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Mumbai Indians by seven wickets. Anuj Rawat became the hero of RCB's victory. Anuj Rawat contributed 66 runs off 47 balls with the help of 6 sixes and two fours.
