Pawan Kalyan has reportedly been diagnosed with a high-grade viral fever and severe spondylitis , forcing him to take a break from his professional commitments.

According to the 123 Telugu website, the doctors have confirmed that while his condition is stable, he has been advised to rest for a few days. Due to his illness, Pawan Kalyan will also skip the scheduled Andhra Pradesh cabinet meeting today.

Reportedly, the sudden health setback has cast uncertainty over the latest shooting schedule of Hari Hara Veera Mallu (HHVM), his long-awaited pan-India historical drama. The film, which has already faced multiple delays, has recently resumed shooting, with Pawan Kalyan expected to join in a couple of days. However, given his current health condition, it seems unlikely that he will participate as planned.
Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, HHVM features Bobby Deol, Nargis Fakhri, Nora Fatehi, and Nidhhi Agerwal in key roles, with MM Keeravani composing the music. The ongoing final schedule is crucial for the film, with several challenging sequences lined up for Pawan Kalyan. His absence may lead to further delays in completing the film, which is currently slated for a March 28, 2025, release.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan’s previous outing was the family drama movie ‘Bro’ which was directed by Samuthirakani. ETimes gave only a 2-star rating for the film as it failed to provide a good storyline apart from offering Pawan Kalyan’s star power to impress fans. Our exclusive review reads, “While the film has a central theme with a lot of potential, BRO banks heavily on the audience rushing to the theatre just for Pawan Kalyan and Sai Tej. Their chemistry is comfortable, maybe a little too relaxed for what the story demands of them. The first half of the film keeps you hooked for the most part. When Pawan shows off his effortless swagger to Emi Sodara or Vayyari Bhama with a tea glass in hand, it makes you smile. By the time he’s walking in slow motion to La La Bheemla in the second half, you want more. Sai Tej on the other hand falters when it comes to emotions. He seems much more comfortable in the comedic or action sequences. Rohini plays his mother, Priya Varrier plays one of his sisters and Ketika Sharma plays his lover. While the women of this film refreshingly hold their ground sometimes, they’re also relegated to being weepy on-screen.”
