AWL Agri Business Limited: Adani Group's fast moving consumer Goods (FMCG) unit Adani Wilmer has changed its name to AWL Agri Business Limited. The company said in a press release that this step has been taken after the approval of the shareholders.
The purpose of this rebranding is to connect the company's identity with its main business activities and future development possibilities in the agricultural business industry. The company said that this decision is a significant change for AWL Agri Business Limited and reflects its expanded focus on its agriculture and food sector.
According to media reports, AWL Agri Business Limited will intensify efforts to introduce new products in FY 2026. The company will target both affordable and high-end segment under the essential kitchen goods.
Apart from this, the company's capital investment strategy can also be accelerated. Because the current projects of the company, including a food processing facility of about Rs 1,300 crore, are funded from the IPO of the company in 2022.
This food processing facility located in Sonepat district of Haryana began last month. This company will produce edible oil and many other food products. Earlier, Adani Enterprises had canceled the plan to separate his food and FMCG business with Adani Wilmer in October 2024.
In the third quarter of FY 2024-25, the consolidated net profit of Adani Wilmer increased by 104% to Rs 411 crore. A year ago, in the same quarter, the company made a profit of Rs 201 crore.
The company's operational revenue in the October-December quarter stood at Rs 15,859 crore, which shows an increase of 23.62% on an annual basis. In the third quarter of FY 2023-24, the company earned a revenue of Rs 12,828 crore.
