Excitement spread on social media in Middlesbrough after shopper Emma Jane Curry posted a video in front of a new click and collect desk, with her hands over her mouth in shock.
Her TikTok video has since garnered 103,000 views as shoppers shared excitement over the service which was launched yesterday - February 26 - across 18 stores, taking Primark's total click and collect locations to 131.
One shopper responded to the video saying: "A MAZE ING!!!" while others exclaimed "No way" with crying emojis, "STOP" and "omg".
Despite not yet offering home delivery, Primark is venturing into the online space through click and collect, and it is working to expand its click and collect service into stores in England, Scotland and Wales by the end of 2025.
Primark adds that around 4,000 of its "much-loved" items are available to click and collect from the women's, men's, kids', baby and home range, as well as the newly launched adaptive clothing range, mainly in its larger stores.
Kari Rodgers, UK retail director at Primark, said: "We know that our customers love the convenience that click and collect offers, as well as the opportunity to access ranges otherwise only found in larger stores.
"With the roll out now due to complete in time for summer we hope this will help make summer holiday shopping that little bit easier."
